CADABAM’S is a centre for training in Psychiatry and Mental health care for Graduates of Nursing before they are formally certified to practice. Till date nearly 2750 students of Nursing have been formally trained and certified every year in Mental Health Nursing. CADABAM’S was recognised by Karnataka State Nursing Board to impart training in psychiatry and mental health to B.Sc , GNM and PBSc students studying in various collages across the state.

CADABAM’S is also an accredited centre for obervership and internship training of graduate and post graduates students of Psychology from 5 Universities in Bangalore and south India, for the past 6 years. We also provide training in Clinical Psychology and Psychiatric Social work for Post Graduate students of the relevant streams. Every year more than 150 students of post graduate courses in psychology get oriented and trained in relevant aspects of clinical psychology and rehabilitation.

Undergraduate students of Psychology and are also allowed attending CADABAM’s in batches, for exposure to the field of organized rehabilitation. CADABAM’S has the requisite facilities to run RCI (Rehabilitation Council of India) accredited undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level psychology courses, and accreditation for the same has already been applied to the Rajiv Health Medical University, Karnataka, India.

CADABAM’S as part of larger initiative to spread quality education in the field of Mental Health Care, also has introduced the “Post Graduate Certificate Course in Clinical Psychology”, a three month full time course with hands on clinical experience, for post graduate Psychology students, at main campus on Kanakapura Road starting from the 7th of February, 2013.

There is a need for clinical exposure in psychology, in order to consolidate the theoretical and academic learning, which is best done in the clinical environment of a mental health institute. This cadre of professionals is needed to fulfil the acute shortage of trained personnel in mental health field.

This course is conducted and supervised by Psychiatrists, Clinical Psychologists, Counsellors and Allied mental health professionals experienced in managing patients with acute and chronic mental health issues and illnesses, in outpatient settings as well as in rehabilitation.
